Role and Title Evolution: Program Director to Re-Founder

This role offers a pathway for growth based on expertise and impact. Initially, you'll lead as Program Director, driving educational initiatives and co-creating innovative solutions. With sustained dedication and visionary leadership, you could evolve into the Re-Founder of Design for Change Singapore, shaping our future direction and impact in education by design.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a visionary Re-Founder to lead the next chapter of Design for Change Singapore. You’ll drive our mission to integrate human-centered design into education, empowering every child with the "I CAN" mindset to create positive change. You’ll build on our legacy, expanding our impact through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to social change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and shape the vision, strategy, and growth of Design for Change in Singapore and beyond, ensuring alignment with our global mission.
  • Develop and implement innovative educational programs that integrate design thinking into curricula, empowering children and educators alike.
  • Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with schools, government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector to expand our reach and impact.
  • Oversee the quality and execution of all programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of innovation and effectiveness.
  • Inspire and mentor a team passionate about education, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Who You Are:

  • An entrepreneur passionate about making an impact through education or / and a seasoned leader in education with a proven track record in human-centered design and Learning & training. You may be a design practitioner with the relevant expertise keen to jump into an entrepreneurial role.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to recognise opportunity and translate vision into action to drive organizational growth.
  • An excellent communicator and advocate, capable of inspiring and influencing others to join our mission.
  • Committed to a long-term vision and eager to roll up your sleeves to make it a reality.
