Data Strategy Group

We build our data architecture in a robust operational environment with scale and efficiency. Data is meaningful in a functional, discoverable, and accessible format to power GIC’s innovative investment strategies.

Data Products

You will be empowered to take a product-led approach to uplift GIC’s data capabilities. You will also have the opportunity to learn businesses’ data needs and work backwards to build, and manage enterprise-grade data products.

You will strive to build a high-performance enterprise data infrastructure, and create a results-driven approach with data products.

What will you do as a Data Analyst?

You will play an integral role in ensuring data ingested into GIC's enterprise system meets the stringent quality requirements required by business. These data are in turn required by business in their pursuit of alpha returns. On a day-to-day basis, you will also be involved in various data management tasks, including unstructured data.

  • Perform manual extraction of required information from unstructured documents (e.g. announcements, annual reports, emails) and input them into databases or structured documents accurately and efficiently
  • Perform data quality checks and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data issues
  • Organize the documents and extracted information for easy retrievals with proper access controls
  • Adhere to data privacy and security policies


What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Degree from recognized tertiary institution
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in data management or data analytics within investment and banking industry
  • Clear in communication and articulation of data issues
  • Meticulous, with a keen eye for details, especially with numbers
  • Experience with data validation and correction tasks
  • Highly efficient in handling and organizing large amount of data and documents
  • Highly proficient in core business tools and applications such as PDF, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience in SQL. Experience in Python would be a bonus
