Description

The IT Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for supporting company users in utilizing the IT applications to execute their business functions.

The IT BA will engage with the business stakeholders and to understand the business processes, gather and qualify the requirements, designing and develop the solutions within schedule and budget.

Continuously review the existing application and support improvement activities wherever applicable. The IT Developer will be required to support ad-hoc/unplanned IT activities on a regular basis.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

IT Application and Management

  • Ensure the smooth running of all IT applications and interfaces
  • Assist the IT Application Manager on all application incidents and problem management
  • Assist IT Application Manager in process design workshops, training, testing and data migration for application and related systems; these includes user requirements for functionality enhancements and issue resolutions
  • Perform actual application design and development work based on business requirements
  • Plan and execute test and change management activities across all applications and interfaces
  • Conduct application usage training to users, developing training materials and user guides as appropriate
  • Ensure all application access is monitored and regularly review against segregation of duties (SOD) policy

Delivery management

  • Work with project sponsors/stakeholders for all application-related projects and activities
  • Follow good project management practices and governance within the IT and vendor teams

Outsourcing and vendor management

  • Assist the IT Application Manager to conduct regular vendor assessments and performance against agreed SOW and SLA

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in IT/Computing or related
  • Minimum 1 year of software development experiences
  • Experience in one or more of the following programming; JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Python
  • Understand Microsoft SharePoint “out of the box” features; Content Management, Search
  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform; Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate
  • Experience in using Microsoft SharePoint List, Microsoft Dataverse
  • Understand how to build and manage large document libraries
  • Exposure to Engineering industry environment (preferred)
  • Good communicator with strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Positive attitude and able to work well with culturally and geographically diverse teams.
