Advantech is currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting sales efforts by providing technical expertise and customer support. The position involves responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, and collaborating with the sales and engineering teams to meet client needs. The Inside Sales Engineer will work closely with customers to recommend solutions, assist in product selection, and ensure smooth order processing. This role is key in driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships while aligning with business objectives.

This role report to the Inside Sales Lead

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for professional handling of customer enquiries
  • Provides quotation on products selling & solution to best meet customers’ needs
  • Follow up of quotations and order coordination to establish high level of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with marketing team in products promotion and conduct market research in related segments to improve sales
  • Independent, resourceful and proactive in lead generation, prospecting, accounts management and involves in developing sales strategies to meet sales targets

Industry Experiences (Any one of these industry):

  • Familiar with the Industrial Equipment manufacturers, Industrial Automation market or Factory Automation and Environment monitoring, Transportation and Surveillance.
  • Familiar with the Applied and Embedded Computing markets e.g. Equipment makers, Smart Cities, Surveillance, Military, Edge Analytics, Retail and Logistics fields.
  • Familiar with the Self-Service Kiosk Equipment Builders, Point-of-Sales S/I, Logistics application such as WMS, Fleet Management, Vehicle Mount Terminal etc.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess bachelor's degree, in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of corporate sales experience in the Industrial PC, Embedded Computing and Industrial IoT. Strong technical aptitude and good business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, team player and able to work independently
  • Bilingual with good communication and presentation skills
  • Engineers or individuals with good computer hardware knowledge who wish to go into sales field will be considered for Inside Sales Engineer.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant field of studies are welcome to apply!
