Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental (Specialist)

Organization: Corporate Services

Reports to: Superintendent OE & Compliance

Job Purpose

Ensuring that internal clients' operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices. Workingclosely with clients to identify opportunities for improvement, implement operational excellence initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (in area of Health, Safety & Environmental).

Key Accountabilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.

• Conducts comprehensive assessments of clients' existing processes in Health, Safety & Environmental to identify areas for improvement.

• Develops and implements strategies to optimize Health, Safety & Environmental processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.

• Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process effectiveness and track improvements over time.

• Collaborates closely with clients to understand their specific needs, provide expert guidance, and ensure project alignment with their goals.

• Assists clients in managing change by providing guidance on change management strategies and techniques.

• Delivers training programs to client teams to enhance their skills and knowledge in operational excellence methodologies.

• Stays updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements in Health, Safety & Environmental, ensuring that clients adhere to all legal obligations.

• Prepares clients for audits and regulatory inspections, assisting in the development of compliance documentation and procedures.

• Assists clients in developing and updating policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and industry standards.

• Conducts risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.

• Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.

• Performs any other relevant task as directed by Superintendent OE & Compliance.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and/or Experience

3-5 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental Engineering field preferably in oil & gas sector.

Academic background includes a minimum of a Bachelor degree.

Language Skills (English and Arabic)

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
