Scope of role:

The Media Executive will be responsible for:

  • Administration services for the team as a whole and for individual client projects.
  • Junior and account executive implementation activities across a broad range of projects and disciplines.

Reporting Structure:

  • On a day-to-day basis you will report to an Account Director/ Account Managers to provide support to the day-to-day requirements.
  • You will be working with the trading community and other specialist services within the agency to deliver campaigns.

The Business Director will be ultimately responsible for the overall management of your workload and development.

The role encompasses:

Planning:

  • Assist the line manager in developing media strategies and channel/platform recommendations and prepare detailed media flow plans for full-funnel campaigns.
  • Utilize available planning tools and collaborate with media owners to obtain proposals and recommend ad formats.
  • Engage with clients on day-to-day operations, provide updates on media trends, and deliver various campaign reports at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Analyze past performance data and benchmark for upcoming major and tactical campaigns.

Buying:

  • Understand different funnel strategies with a focus on lower funnel campaigns to achieve goals like ROAS.
  • Coordinate with digital ad operations for campaign setup on self-serve platforms, tracking and implementation on client’s sites, ensuring proper ad serving and tag firing.
  • Adhere to and follow globally set parameters and campaign execution processes while also guiding others.
  • Oversee performance across channels (Search, Social, Programmatic, etc.) and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor and optimize performance during campaign periods across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, TikTok, etc.
  • Prepare weekly digital reports, end-of-campaign reports, and reconcile final costs for finance billing.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Administration: Manage account administration tasks such as arranging meetings, preparing reports, and financial administration. Ensure proactive task management to maintain smooth operations and meet deadlines.

Competitive Reviews: Compile competitive data and create insightful presentations, presenting data clearly with supporting points of view.

Preparing Buying Briefs: Assist Account Managers in preparing buying briefs for the Trading Community or media vendors. Follow up on briefs by addressing questions and assessing media responses.

Strategic Media Development: Contribute to media strategy development and creative communications solutions, participate in brainstorming sessions, and generate new ideas.

Origination of the Media Plan: Support the manager in creating clear media plans, assist in client presentations and workshops, and ensure smooth translation from strategy to plan.

Execution of Media Plans and Campaigns: Ensure timely execution of signed media plans, work closely with ad trafficking and tagging teams, monitor campaigns, and manage reporting systems and post-campaign analysis.

Finance Communication: Ensure media invoices are accurately checked and returned to Finance on time, maintaining detailed and accurate reporting.

Media Tools and Systems: Develop a thorough understanding of key media tools and systems to assist in planning assignments.

Team and Specialist Relationship Management: Collaborate with the regional team, buyers, and finance, maintain clear communication, and build effective relationships with creative and specialist agency personnel.

Protecting High Standards: Ensure all work meets high standards, contribute to producing engaging and commercially effective ideas, and aim for award-winning work.

Integration: Act as a solutions provider and encourage the use of other agency services.

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of digital media experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, good with numbers, and able to organize and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to change and eager to learn new skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive and ready to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Strong project management skills and a good team player.
