Job Scope

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to gain insights into market trends, competitor performance, shopper preferences, and other relevant data.
  • Utilize insights to support business understanding of market, category, shopper, retailer, brand, and product performance
  • Collaborate with the Category Strategy Manager and cross-functional teams to develop data-driven category strategies
  • Provide 4P recommendations based on insights - around pricing, promotion, product/range, distribution, and shelf layout to drive category growth
  • Become a category expert by staying up to date with industry trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics
  • Utilize expertise to contribute to internal business plans for relevant channels, incorporating shopper, consumer, and channel insights
  • Participate in category range reviews and planning sessions with major retailers
  • Effectively engage with customers to identify short and long-term opportunities for the category
  • Manage seasonal range development and partner closely with the marketing and sales teams, in coordination with the Category Strategy Manager, to develop ideal seasonal ranges and activation for Premium Chocolate and Kinder products
  • Incorporate retailer feedback to optimize the offer for shoppers, customers, and Ferrero
  • Work seamlessly with internal stakeholders from various departments, including Sales, Marketing, S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning), NPD (New Product Development)
  • Attend session (field focus) meetings to ensure that a customer and category-focused agenda is followed

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in FMCG industry commercial roles: category management, retail or agency background is preferred
  • Proven experience in market analysis, category management or related, with the ability to draw actionable insights from data
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem solving and result orientation
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a range of stakeholders.
  • MS Office proficiency, experience with market research tools, and other data analysis software
