The Principal Specialist/Assistant Director, Digital Transformation is a key role in enabling digital transformation, automation, and innovation. The role focuses on digitisation and digitalisation, leading to digital transformation opportunities to improve overall business performance.

Equipped with the relevant education, experience, skillsets, and determination to help businesses take internal processes, services, and products to the next level. You will establish and maintain close partnerships with business users to streamline gathered requirements and explore viable processes and solutions to improve, align, and achieve user needs and high-level goals.

You will manage the implementations of technology projects in the organisation throughout the entire project lifecycle and will be working closely with external vendors to ensure smooth development, delivery, and operational handover.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply the best practices of project management, change management, various implementation methodologies, and Security-by-Design.
  • Understand and apply the best practices of Cybersecurity, Governance, Risks and Compliance (GRCs) and Audit using frameworks such as ISO270001 or equivalent.
  • End-to-end IT Project Management that includes but is not limited to business requirements gathering, technical feasibility study, solutioning, scalability etc. to achieve project objectives utilising frameworks such as PMP, Prince2 or equivalent.
  • Manage vendors/service providers to ensure contractual obligations are met and successfully delivered.
  • Ensure all forms of documentation are up-to-date.
  • Drive and manage the expectations of all stakeholders through effective communication to ensure good partnerships with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Call for Tender exercises, including preparation and definition of specifications, evaluation, award approval process, and contract finalisation.
  • Provide advisory or consultations for the business users/teams to promote continuous process improvement and design.
  • Design and implement a risk mitigation plan.
  • Management reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in Information Technology/Computer Science/Business or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience.
  • Completed at least 2 project implementations consisting of both Infrastructure and Application as Project Manager.
  • Experience in end-to-end project management which includes but is not limited to process design, solution design, documentation, procurement etc.
  • Experience in the co-creation, management and implementations of end-to-end value creation.
  • Holistic thinking capability with big-picture thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and comprehension skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-facing and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-motivated and innovative.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Able to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and in high-stress situations.
  • Application design or implementation experience preferred.

Designation and salary will commensurate with experience.
