Job Purpose

  1. Manage claims relating to financial and specialty insurance products (e.g. D&O, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, Crime) as well as property and casualty insurance products for clients based in Singapore and in the region.
  2. To provide a quality claims service to clients and to ensure the smooth operation of the claims department.
  3. To provide support and assistance to the Head of Claims and Claims Team Lead as required.

Job Description – Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Advocate, negotiate and resolve high exposure, complex claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions. Managing clients’ queries and expectations in a timely manner.
  • Efficient management of claims from first advice of loss to ultimate settlement
  • Assist brokers for existing clients and on tenders to present a strong claims proposition for Lockton.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Factual and statistical analyses, reserve setting, and payment liability advisory.
  • Managing loss adjusters and external counsel as required.
  • Overseeing recovery of claims.
  • Preparation of client risk management presentations and articles.
  • Drive third party service providers to achieve economical results and to provide a high quality service to all internal and external customers.
  • Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate Lockton Claims administration systems.
  • Manage timely production of management information and proactively identify loss trends.
  • Implement Lockton claims procedure to ensure efficient and accurate reporting, management, and settlement of claims.
  • Provide in-depth coverage analysis for complex claims.
  • Provide claim mitigation practices to include complex claims consultation, reserve analysis, and evaluation of claims
  • Provide in-depth claims analysis via company reporting protocols to production staff.
  • Investigating potentially fraudulent claims, E&O claims etc. and liaising with colleagues to identify improvements in claims procedures.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance at all times; participate in and manage the outcomes of internal and external audits of the business function including those for the company’s auditor, the MAS, Internal Audit and others as may be necessary.
  • Ad hoc tasks as relevant.

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer called to the Singapore bar, with at least 1 year of post-qualification litigation experience.
  • Certification in General Insurance (CGI)

  • M5 Rules and Regulations for Financial Advisory Services
  • M9 Life Insurance and Investment-Linked Policies
