The Corporate Policies and Services (CPS) Division undertakes a range of responsibilities in innovation, Strategic Planning, and Partnerships, and collaborates with R&D divisions in the areas of Finance, Estate Management, and Procurement to meet DSO’s strategic and business needs.

The Estates Management Cluster champions end-to end management of DSO corporate real estate. This ranges from real estate front-end planning (space planning) to construction management to integrated facilities mgt (including Additions & Alterations) to retirement of assets. To be in line with the national efforts towards sustainability, DSO has also doubled up its efforts to meet this intent when managing DSO real estate portfolio.

Manager (Resource & Admin)

In this role, you will:

  • Size up the long-term space demand, consolidate and assess the current space supply, and propose strategies to meet both interim and long term demands without undermining DSO's operations
  • Manage lease agreements such as renewals, resolve tenancy related matters, and ensuring that tenants comply with the contractual terms and conditions. Compile and prepare the monthly cost reports detailing the utilities and maintenance expenses to be recovered from tenants
  • Map out environmental sustainability strategies and translate to action plans for implementation to meet DSO's sustainability targets
  • Manage and oversee the budget allocation, and ensure that the utilization is within the allocated budget
  • Review current work processes/workflows and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, including digitalization of our processes
  • Manage and oversee workplace amenities such as vending machines, shredders, water dispensers, including procurement and contract renewals
  • Manage and review insurance policies such as Industrial all Risks and Public Liability and be the key liaison on insurance related matters

Requirements

  • Degree in Building & Real Estate or Facilities Management
  • More than 10 years of experience in the domain of Real Estate, and having the relevant skills and competencies in space planning and facilities management/environmental sustainability
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to multi-task under given timelines
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross teams within the organisation
  • Good problem-solving skills, able to analyse the problem/issue at hand and take effective actions
  • Good writing skills, able to write clear and concise papers and reports
