Clinical Application Specialist, Surgical Team

You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the provision of advice and assistance on the usage of therapy devices and products to end users including conducting training for medical professionals, allied health personnel, patients and sales team to ensure that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.

Specifically, you will

  • Support surgical cases according to product usage instructions while adhering to infection control and observing patient safety as first priority.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and management of clinical cases ensuring that all cases are attended to by the Clinical Application Team competently and promptly.
  • Ensure that end users receive correct advice and adequate, professional support in the operating theatres and provide on-call assistance when necessary.
  • Support in analysing customer feedback on clinical application services which, in turn leads to case management improvement projects to increase efficiency.
  • Assist to train new sales and clinical staff on the features and applications of the products, respond to questions posed by the surgical personnel, attend to cases in the operating theatres, providing on-site guidance.
  • Conduct training for the surgical and nursing personnel ensuring that they are familiar with and confident in using the products.
  • Co-organise trade shows, courses and events with sales and marketing team, for areas related to product applications and usage.
  • Collaborate with Regional Product Managers/Specialists and Business Unit Managers to develop training materials and competency assessment documents.
  • Review and update clinical application contents, training materials and quizzes in the Learning Management Platform to ensure they are accurate, up-to-date and systematically presented.

In the course of your work, you will be required to join the Sales Team on a sales visit to demonstrate the use of the products to provide credibility to the value of the products and technical expertise as well as identifying business opportunities while attending to cases and through customers interaction and pass on the information/leads to the Sales Team.

You should have a Diploma/Degree in Nursing or Bio-medical Engineering or Science, have a minimum 2 years of relevant experience such as operating theatre/Bio medical/Healthcare experience preferred. Having a growth and change mindset, demonstrating strong ownership towards execution and result as well as able to work well in a team-based environment are desirable attributes for the role.
