Key Accountabilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Azure Stack to support business operations.
• Design and implement data ingestion techniques for both real-time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and meet data requirements.
• Architect, develop, and maintain robust data solutions on Azure Cloud.
• Apply expertise in cloud migration and software design for innovative solutions.
• Implement and monitor data security, ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
• Utilize Spark, Databricks, and other tools for data transformation and analysis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in data engineering with extensive hands-on involvement in designing and implementing data solutions.
• Experience in migrating SQL databases to Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and Data Warehousing solutions.
• Skilled in developing Spark applications using Spark SQL in Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and insight generation.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-204, AZ-303, AZ-304, DP-200, and DP-201 are highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, and Purview for building and managing data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Data Warehousing solutions.
• Expert programming skills in Scala, Python, R, and Spark SQL.
• Familiarity with KAFKA, Azure MQ, MSBI (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Competence in using data visualization tools like Power BI and SAP BI.
• Proven ability in executing data migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
• Experience in database design and development with business intelligence using SQL Server (2014/2016), SSIS, DTS Packages, SSAS, DAX, OLAP Cubes, and both Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Ability to create pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) using Linked Services, Datasets, and Pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including Azure SQL, Blob storage, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
