The Client:

The Client is a major player in the global shipping and logistics industry, known for its extensive network and comprehensive services. This client operates a substantial fleet of container ships, providing vital connections across key trade routes.

Job Scope:

The ideal candidate will oversee shipping agencies within the company's global network and support shipping projects in major markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the respective trade lanes with an emphasis on performance management and business operations.
  • Oversee and carry out agency setups in prospective new markets.
  • Manage and support productivity and cost effectiveness of the agencies while keeping it in line with predetermined KPIs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and business units to put strategies into place that improve agency performance.
  • Plan and lead transformation and continuous improvement projects to promote ongoing efficiency gains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in business or any related discipline is a plus.
  • More than 3 years of experience in commercial management in a shipping liner is a plus.
  • Strong experience in managing and building agency network is a plus.
  • Individuals with excellent strategic acumen and stakeholder management is a plus.
