Position Overview:

Our client, an established Fund Manager in Singapore is looking for a Macro Analyst cum Portfolio Manager to join their investments team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing macroeconomic insights and translating these into actionable investment strategies. This dual role requires a good understanding of global macroeconomic trends and a proven track record in portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

Macroeconomic Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global economic indicators, financial markets, and geopolitical events. Develop macroeconomic forecasts and scenarios to inform investment decisions. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on macroeconomic trends and their implications for various asset classes.

Investment Strategy Development: Translate macroeconomic insights into actionable investment strategies. Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, commodities, and currencies. Collaborate with the investment team to develop and refine the firm's investment strategy.

Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee investment portfolios to achieve desired returns and risk objectives. Conduct regular portfolio reviews and make adjustments as needed based on market conditions and macroeconomic developments. Monitor portfolio performance and provide detailed reports to senior management and clients.

Risk Management: Identify and assess macroeconomic risks that could impact investment portfolios. Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with the firm's risk management framework.

News Letters: Communicate macroeconomic insights and portfolio strategies to clients and stakeholders on monthly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis and portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex economic data and market trends.
  • Proven track record in developing successful investment strategies and managing investment portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, statistical analysis, and relevant software/tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
