Our client is a manufacturing MNC with operations across APAC. As they are experiencing strong growth and expanding the team, we are looking to hire a Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering, reporting to the Group CFO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsible for the production plant and facility for the optimised usage of resources and ensure deliverables are being met.
  • Conducts studies in operations to maximise workflow and spatial utilisation.
  • Plant shop floor layout optimisation, including machine layouts in production line.
  • Analysis of manufacturing capacity and proper resource arrangement.
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and completion of industrial engineering projects related to new machinery/production lines, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and analyse simulation results and work with other stakeholders to identify improvement actions required for bottlenecks
  • Maintaining communication with suppliers and internal customers to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Monitors the safe usage of equipment, safeguard that all employees follow the H&S procedures as required and makes recommendation to H&S team for improvement if needed.
  • Supervises and motivates the team, focusing on creating a high performing culture.
  • Oversee all building-related activities.
  • In charge of coordinating CAPEX projects within the group of companies (machine transfers etc)
  • Coordinate site facility managers within the group of companies in Malaysia, China & Thailand

EDUCATION/ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline

KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing plant at managerial level
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Able to build and manage contractor relationships.
  • Able to prepare and present executive level reports and presentations.
  • Possess excellent organisational and communications skills, as well as the ability to work well with others in a fast paced, multitask environment.
  • Project management experience

This role is based in Woodlands.
