Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking a Project Contract Manager who will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project contracting—from developing strategies to implementation. This role involves working closely with the project team to ensure adherence to project deadlines and effective contract management.
Collaboration with Legal Team:
The Project Contract Manager will collaborate with the legal team to ensure that all commercial and contractual elements of the project are administered according to the requirements of the Client’s contract. Frequent communication with both the project management and legal teams will be essential to manage contracts between subcontractors and Our Client, prioritizing the company’s commercial interests.
Reporting Structure:
This position is part of the Project Services group within the Commercial and Contracts Department, reporting to the Senior Commercial & Contracts Manager. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proactive and hands-on approach to their work.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Pre-Award Contract:
- Ensure completion of pre-qualification exercises for subcontractors prior to contract awards
- Enforce compliance with procurement procedures during the tendering process
- Source, prepare, issue, and manage Invitation to Tender/Request For Quotation/Proposal packages and evaluate submitted proposals
- Review and negotiate subcontractors’ qualifications and exceptions
- Ensure contract terms align with company policies and support the legal team in negotiations
Post-Award Contract:
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure subcontract commitments and milestones are met
- Review and evaluate variation order requests and provide contractual advice
- Monitor contracts and negotiate final account settlements, drafting settlement agreements
- Ensure efficient handling and filing of commercial and contractual correspondence with subcontractors
- Assist in subcontract audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
QHSSE Duties:
- Promote health, safety, and welfare in the workplace
- Report any quality-related issues or HSSE hazards to the QHSSE department
- Participate in continuous improvement processes within QHSSE
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience
Desirable:
- Experience in the oil & gas, marine, or construction industries
- Strong contract drafting skills
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Ability to handle confidential information and comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Willingness to travel overseas for business
