Job Summary:

The role of the Management Associate will be to support Senior Management and C-suite leaders in the BRCM Headquarters and will be responsible for overseeing selected business units under BRCM’s portfolio. You will be responsible for internal and external stakeholder management, relevant policy work, and commercial operations. Business Chinese fluency is mandatory, and real estate, consulting, and PE experience is advantageous.

What you will do:

  • Support various functions within the firm and the selected business subsidiaries, including investment valuation and reporting, human resources, finance and accounting, investor relations, public policy.
  • Support the inter-department work across the various satellite offices of BRCM, covering both investments and policy related work.
  • Selected candidates will be given the opportunity to have operational experience working with the management of certain subsidiaries.
  • Front office activities, including but not limited to internal and external stakeholder management, investor relations, industry presentations, investor and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support fundraising activities by preparing presentations, marketing materials, and responding to investor inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports to investors.
  • Participate in investor meetings and calls to provide updates on fund performance and portfolio companies.
  • Industry-agnostic research to provide actionable insights on business proposals, acquisitions, and more.
  • Comprehensive competitor research to benchmark business performance, developing financial models for both macroeconomic and business indicators to support the initial screening of investment opportunities for Senior Associates and VPs under high pressure and tight time constraints.
  • Support in the office administration, including minute documentation, secretarial duties for meetings, and other forms of staffing.

What you will bring:

  • Major in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Public Policy or other specialization.
  • Previous experience in deals advisory, corporate finance, real estate, consulting, and the PE sector is preferred.
  • Business Chinese is mandatory
  • Equipped with strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability.
  • Inquisitive and growth mindset.
  • Critical thinking ability, and adaptability to a steep learning curve.
  • Deal sourcing & Evaluation: Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities and analyze financial statements, industry data, and market trends to assess potential deals.
  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Maintain and build from scratch complex financial models to project company performance and returns through methodologies such as DCF and comparable modelling
