What You Will Be Working On

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for financial and accounting functions in MTI. Specifically, you will take on the role Finance Business Partner to our stakeholders, including MTI’s internal customers and/or its Statutory Boards. You will provide advice and support to our customers on budgetary and financial matters to ensure that programmes are managed effectively and financial resources used optimally to achieve the desired outcomes. You will be reporting to the Deputy Director and manage an assigned portfolio with the scope of work which will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Evaluate funding proposals;
  • Review and analyze budget submissions;
  • Monitor budget utilization/review cashflow projections;
  • Review and process the disbursement of grants;
  • Identify areas to leverage on technology and develop capabilities to improve work processes;
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned as part of staff development.


What We Are Looking For

You should possess:

  • a relevant field of study in Accountancy, Business Administration or related disciplines with 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience in business partnering, finance and/or budgeting;
  • prior experience and knowledge on process re-engineering and driving finance transformation would be an advantage;
  • Ability to work independently and a good team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management, as well as strong analytical skills;
  • Committed, self-driven and thrive in a fast-pace environment
