Position: Singapore Senior Payroll Specialist

Overview:

We are an engineering services and sales SME seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to manage the payroll processes for our Singapore office, supporting approximately 400 employees. In this role, you will report to the Payroll Manager and together be responsible for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time while adhering to local statutory regulations. You will handle the full spectrum of payroll activities, including salary and sales comm calculation, CPF contributions submission, and tax filings.

The Payroll Manager will be supported by the Senior Payroll Specialist and both will be the primary points of contact for payroll-related queries from Singapore employees, ensuring timely resolution of any issues. You will work closely with the Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure that payroll data is integrated seamlessly with other business processes. Additionally, you will prepare and submit payroll reports, including year-end tax filings such as IR8A and IR21, while maintaining payroll records with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.

In this position, it is crucial to stay updated with any changes in employment laws, tax regulations, and CPF policies that may impact payroll operations. The role will also require you to assist with internal and external audits related to payroll compliance. You will play a critical role in supporting efficient payroll operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for 400 employees in compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement, CPF contributions, tax filings, and other statutory obligations.
  • Manage and resolve payroll-related queries from employees efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth integration of payroll data with other business processes.
  • Prepare payroll reports and handle year-end tax filings, including IR8A and IR21.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and tax regulations affecting payroll operations.
  • Assist with audits and reviews to ensure payroll compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in an organization of similar size.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore payroll legislation, CPF, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as TMC, Prosoft, SAP, Workday, or similar systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing high volumes of data.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently.
