About the Role:

Our client is a fast-growing company with plans to continue expanding. Despite challenging market conditions, they have achieved good growth and are poised to continue this momentum through both organic and inorganic expansion strategies. To support their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Group Sales Director lead their sales function across the organisation.

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance and leading the sales team to develop strategies to further grow the business. You will play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s growth targets while maintaining and increasing profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership & Management: You will grow, lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing sales team, focusing on training and development to ensure ongoing success.
  • Strategy Development: You will develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company’s growth and revenue objectives, contributing in driving both organic and inorganic growth.
  • Sales Performance & Financial Management: You will be accountable for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets, driving profitability, and ensuring the business remains on a strong growth trajectory. You will also lead efforts to develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Business Development: You will partner with internal stakeholders to identify potential areas for expansion through product development, acquisitions, or entry into new markets.

Requirements:

  • You should have at least 12-15 years of successful experience in regional sales within a B2B business.
  • Experience in the precision engineering or semiconductor industry will be critical for the success of this role
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing company or with scaling sales teams is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment. Prior experiencing in covering SEA or China will be critical for the success of this role.
  • A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of driving both organic and inorganic growth.
  • You are entrepreneurial, thrive in dynamic environments, and are excited by the opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing company.
  • You have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth in competitive markets.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
