Role Overview:
The Finance and Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial operations. This role involves handling all accounting processes, conducting data analysis, and ensuring accurate financial tracking. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Management:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Develop and track financial metrics, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations.
Data Analysis & Tracking:
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking financial performance and key business metrics.
- Analyze sales data, cost structures, and profitability trends.
- Provide data-driven insights to support marketing, sales, and operational strategies.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial data effectively.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and financial processes.
- Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve data accuracy and financial decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis, preferably in a startup or SME environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
