Singapore Long Weekend Holidays 2025

When planning your time off, you can use this image for help. Yellow shows public holidays, black shows weekends, and grey indicates days you can take leave to enjoy longer holidays. You can plan your annual leave around the public holidays and weekends. By taking leave on the grey days next to these, you can have longer vacations without using too many leave days.

This way, you get more time off and can enjoy longer breaks for travel, relaxation, or family time. Planning ahead also helps you coordinate with friends or family, so everyone can join in the fun.

Public Holiday Pay Entitlement

Employees will be paid for a public holiday if they meet these conditions:

- They worked the day before or after the holiday.

- They are on approved leave (like sick leave, annual leave, or unpaid leave) on the day before and after the holiday.

However, employees won’t be paid for the holiday if it falls during their approved unpaid leave.

For example, if someone is on unpaid leave on August 8, they will still be paid for the holiday on August 9 (National Day). But if they’re on unpaid leave from August 8 to 10, they won’t get paid for the holiday on August 9.
