You can start by explaining systematically the style of social media, how often the algorithm changes, what changes usually happen based on your experience, and how you adjust the current social media plan if the algorithm changes.
Advanced questions
Usually, advanced questions allow the interviewer to know your thinking process and your knowledge of digital marketing. At the same time, you can use this chance to showcase your experience and expertise to make them feel you are the right candidate.
What kind of approach do you take when developing a digital marketing strategy?
Share your answer with the process of creating the digital marketing itself. Start with knowing the problem first, look for the relatable data, synthesize it, and then find the solution as the strategy itself.
After that, break down the plan, including the timeline, some trade-offs, potential external teams to collaborate, etc.

What strategies for attracting new business would you apply in order to gain new accounts?
This type of question simply asks how you can attract new customers. The interviewer wants to see your creativity, market understanding, experience, and thinking process.
You can ask back to the interviewer what type of new business they expect to help you narrow down your answer.
After getting the answer, you can share your strategy based on the business focus, target market, your understanding of social media platforms, digital ads, etc. Explain also how is the habits of new customers when it comes to learning the new product.
How would you increase the adoption of a new product or feature? How would you measure success?
Similar to the question above, the interviewer wants to dig deeper into your skill in planning and knowledge but in different forms of questions.
Talking about adoption or conversion, you need a comprehensive plan. First, find out the product problem, the current situation and strategy, some data, and compile them to know what solution can be used to increase the adoption.
About success rate, it depends on each company-wide goal and the current bare minimum guideline of the digital marketing team in the company. It is simply if above the target number, it can be called success. On the other hand, success is not only above the target number, but also additional learnings that you and your team get, insights that you get during the execution, etc.
How do you pick effective digital marketing KPIs, and how do you track them?
Answer this question by sharing based on your experience with your current KPI. Explain how you track them periodically.
If you have any idea to improve how you track the performance, share it also in the answer.
By answering this question, the interviewer will know how you measure success and data analytical skills.
