Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Business Development Director/Manager to expand our business footprint within the investment banking and asset management sectors. Your role will:

  • Define and lead the go-to-market strategy for institutional client acquisition, targeting investment banks, asset managers, family offices, and other sophisticated capital allocators.
  • Own the full BD lifecycle—from strategic planning, prospecting, and pitch development to negotiation and closing of high-value, complex deals.
  • Cultivate and maintain deep C-level relationships across the financial ecosystem, acting as a trusted advisor and long-term partner.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Product, Legal, Research, and Tech to shape tailored solutions that align with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate market feedback into actionable insights, helping guide the product roadmap and GTM priorities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, private roundtables, and investor summits, strengthening brand presence in the institutional finance space.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of business development, client coverage, or capital markets experience in investment banking, asset management, or a related financial services domain.
  • Demonstrated success in closing multimillion-dollar deals and managing high-stakes negotiations with institutional stakeholders.
  • Strong network within the investment banking and asset management community across Asia or globally.
  • Strategic mindset with a firm grasp of financial markets, institutional investment behavior, and emerging digital asset trends.
  • Crypto-curious or crypto-fluent: while deep technical knowledge of blockchain isn't required, a passion for innovation and comfort discussing Web3/crypto trends is a must.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, self-driven, and capable of thriving in fast-moving, decentralized teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with blockchain technologies or digital asset management.
  • Previous roles involved scaling sales in Singapore, Hong Kong, or Taiwan.
