Job Responsibilities:-
- Source and evaluate suppliers for chemicals, reagents, and lab consumables based on company and industry standards.
- Negotiate prices and contracts to reduce costs while ensuring quality.
- Prepare purchase orders and track shipments to meet production timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any quality or delivery issues. -
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, REACH, ISO). - Work with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Stay informed about market trends and new products to guide procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to verify product quality and specifications.
- Assist with budgeting and cost analysis for procurement
Job requirements:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. -
- At least 2 years of procurement experience in the chemistry or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical products and safety regulations. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with procurement software and ERP
