Vice President – Operational Excellence – Freight Forwarding – APAC

As the Regional VP of Operational Excellence (APAC), you will be at the forefront of transforming DP World’s operations across Asia Pacific, ensuring CargoRunner (TMS) - TiAB becomes a best-in-class platform that sets new industry benchmarks.This role is all about impact—bridging global strategy with regional execution, enforcing Ocean Freight (OFR) and Air Freight (AFR) policies, and leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive operational efficiency.

You’ll be the key force behind process compliance, TMS innovation, and seamless collaboration across clusters, ensuring DP World’s regional operations are not just aligned with global standards but optimized for real-world success. This position reports to the SVP, Freight Forwarding APAC.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with global Product & Technology teams to elevate CargoRunner (TMS) with industry-leading features, automation, and real-time integration while driving APAC-specific adaptations (e.g., multi-language support, local carrier integration, compliance with regional customs regulations).
• Ensure full compliance with CargoRunner & TiAB across APAC, eliminating manual workflows and championing next-gen innovations like predictive capacity forecasting, AI-driven exception handling, and blockchain-enabled documentation.
• Act as the regional policy enforcer, ensuring adherence to global pricing, procurement, and service standards while translating global policies into actionable regional guidelines tailored to APAC’s regulatory and customer landscape.
• Redesign manual workflows into automated CargoRunner processes, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize efficiency, reduce errors, and accelerate turnaround times.
• Embed self-service tools like instant quotes and milestone tracking to enhance the customer experience and strengthen DPW’s market position in APAC.
• Work closely with APAC country managers and cluster heads to drive consistent policy adoption while advocating for regional priorities in global TMS roadmap discussions.
• Train APAC teams on advanced CargoRunner capabilities, foster a digital-first culture, and establish a regional center of excellence for TMS expertise and best practices.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven expertise in Trade Management and Ocean Freight operations.
• Results-driven with a strong commercial mindset and a strategic yet hands-on approach to driving business success.
• Highly motivated, customer-focused, and commercially aware, with strong negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Adept at managing virtual teams, leading large meetings, and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and networking abilities, with confidence operating in a corporate environment.
• Decisive leader capable of making high-impact decisions that influence the broader network.
• Passionate about coaching and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.
• Experience in the ocean freight forwarding industry within a multinational and corporate environment.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 40%.
