Summary
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring food safely compliance to national standards and customer’s specifications. You will be responsible for all hygiene and food safety standards within dnata’s inflight kitchen and operated lounges.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct shop floor inspections of Catering Services and document checks on a daily basis to make sure all staff are following the laid down quality and food safety standards, taking immediate corrective action when non-conformances are observed and report the findings in the food safety and hygiene daily report, and to the respective HOD’s.
· Conduct flight inspection for meal in production and ready for uplift to ensure it is in accordance to food safety regulation and customers’ specifications
· Monitor personal hygiene practices of all shop floor personnel & hygiene and cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
· Provides QA tracking, trending & any other administrative reports.
· Ensure raw materials supplied conform to specifications and requirements of company and customers
· Ensure establishment, implementation, maintenance and update of pre-requisite programs, operational pre-requisite programs and HACCP plan
· Support during external audit by authority, certifying body and customers
· Undertake any other duties assigned by immediate superior
· Prepare culture media as specified by Senior Supervisor (Food Lab).
· Carry out sterilization for culture media and apparatus.
· Wash, decontaminate and maintain the cleanliness of all laboratory apparatus.
· Collect and conduct microbial analysis on samples from designated areas as specified by Senior Supervisor.
· Ensure samples collected for the day are analyzed within targeted plan.
· Collect samples and conduct follow up tests that did not meet microbiological criteria from respective sections.
· Record the results of all samples tested.
· Undertake any other duties assigned by immediate superior.
· Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedure
· Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head
Requirements
· Diploma in Food Science or any related field.
· At least 3 years of working experience in managing the quality and food safety standards.
· Possess qualifications in ISO 22000 & ISO 9001 audits
· Prior experience in managing food safety audits by Customers, certification bodies and government authorities.
· Strictly adhere to food hygiene and safety procedures.
· Good working knowledge SAP system.
