About The Role

As we continue to grow, we seek a Finance Associate to join the Finance Team. This role assists the Finance Manager and contributes to the day-to-day finance operations while collaborating closely with Middle Office, brokers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that our finance operations are efficient and seamless. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance administration and have high standards of organisation and accuracy.

As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll:

  • Handle invoicing, payments, payroll and expense tracking, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and industry standards
  • Assist in reporting by preparing financial statements and internal reports as required
  • Review, escalate and resolve discrepancies on fees and charges with prime brokers
  • Assist with cash management across all Grasshopper group entities and associated companies
  • Collate documents for outsourced accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely preparation/submission of financial reports
  • Undertake general financial administrative duties including documentation and record keeping
  • Assist in any ad-hoc financial projects or operational needs as required

We’d Love For You To Have

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Prior work experience in an accounting/finance role in the finance industry is preferred
  • Attention to detail and initiative in problem-solving
  • Experience in using software technology (vendor software solutions e.g. Microsoft / Google suite)
  • Attention to detail with high standards of organisation, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Good communication skills - fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong initiative to follow up on assigned items and determine appropriate steps for timely resolution
  • Strong team player and fast learner who can deliver efficient and innovative solutions
