Your ‘day to day’

Develop and implement Philip Morris Singapore’s external affairs strategies. Accountabilities include:

  • Develop and execute external affairs strategies that are intended to manage current and future regulatory challenges in Singapore.
  • Provide strategic advice and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as regional headquarters regarding key priorities of the company.
  • Identify and develop professional working relationships with external stakeholders to partner with them on issues such as illicit trade prevention, fiscal matters, and regulatory affairs.
  • Develop engagement tools and materials that may be useful for government and regulatory stakeholders including position papers, research studies, and briefing materials.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Review business proposals and materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead/ support other strategic projects as required.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Science.
  • 8 - 12 years of relevant working experience, particularly in the areas of government or regulatory affairs and public policy.
  • Possess track record of strong working experience with POHs, government officials and TACs leaders. Has experience with trade negotiations (e.g. international, ASEAN) would be ideal but not necessary.
  • Need to demonstrate excellent networking, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and sound knowledge of current local and international affairs.
  • Ability to persevere in an ambiguous regulatory environment is a must.
