
Private Preschool Teacher(Mandarin)
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for daily needs and routines including supervising meals and play time. Set daily schedule and plan a routine.
-Plan a variety of age appropriate activities to nurture intellectual, physical, emotional and social development(eg.reading, singing, sensory play, exercise, art, phonics/writing, pretend play).
a. Be flexible(main thing is language,etc.)
b. Source materials for activities.
c. Set up/prepare activities before child arrives.
- Plan and arrange educational trips (eg. museums, parks, aquarium, zoo) and play dates.
-Take him to extra-curricular activities, enrichment claaes(chengzhu, music class, etc) and school.
-Keep track of physical and cognitive miletstones and do brief weekly progress update.
-Review what he learned in school and enrichment classes(once he starts going). Help with homework if needed.
-Keep play areas clean and organised
a. Sort toys(storage)clean and organised
b. Sort books based on age.
c. Rotate toys and books on display every few days/every week.
-Travel with kids (very rarely, probably to Jakarta)(If not able to travel. it is fine)
-Make sure helpers doing right things for kids and inform if any improvements need to be made.
Requirements:
-At least a Diploma in Early Childhood Education(Chinese language) or preferbaly a Degree in Early Childhood Education.
-At least 5 years of experience teaching in a preschool setting.
-Work well independently.
-Passionate about working with children.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
