Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Technical Project Manager to join our IT team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive engineering support for IP Telephony project. Experience in designing and engineering IP telephony systems/VoIP is essential. Your efforts will ensure the delivery of a reliable, scalable, and efficient communication infrastructure.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications;
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in designing, setting up, and managing IP and network systems, (e.g., Cisco, ALE, Asterisk);
- Must have hands-on experience with VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323 and QoS implementation;
- Must have excellent understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs;
- Possesses exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, consistently resolving complex technical issues efficiently;
- Experience in project support and vendor management is required;
- Must be meticulous with attention to detail, patience, and a positive attitude towards managing multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment.
Desired Skill-set
- PMP certified;
- Alcatel certified system engineer;
- CCIE.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure projects from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and execute project plans, resource allocation plans, and risk management plans.
- Lead and manage project teams, including vendors and stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
- Provide assessment of appropriate hardware, software, networking and cabling components for the targeted solutions / systems;
- Set up and configure IP / infrastructure systems including but not limited to PBX systems, VoIP gateways, SBC, IP phones, and related equipment;
- Ensure proper integration with existing network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN/VPN/firewall configurations;
- Implement Quality of Service (QoS) measures to prioritize voice traffic and ensure optimal performance;
- Integrate the IP / infrastructure systems with other communication platforms (e.g., email, contact center applications, property management system);
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, status updates, and progress reports.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Manage project budget, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting expenses.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and ensure project deliverables meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, and status reports.
- Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, evaluation, and lessons learned.
