Job Purpose
The Senior Director of Marketing APAC is responsible for developing and executing the regional marketing strategy for ADP in close partnership with APAC Sales and the broader ADP ESI Marketing team. He/She identifies opportunities for local value creation; then builds and executes the strategy and tactics to capture this value. Current geographic scope includes Australia, China, India, SE Asia and Singapore.
It is a complex matrix role, covering diverse markets of differing maturity with a strong focus on growth. The successful applicant will be a practical, ‘hands-on’ leader marrying good strategic insight with strong executional skills. He/she will lead a small but mighty team (a combination of direct local reports and dotted-line global resource) that is already in place and having a tangible impact on business performance. There is direct budget accountability in region and as a member of the ADP ESI Marketing Leadership Team they will also help shape our wider global approach.

- Market Sensing (competitive landscape, distinctive competence, market problems)
- Understand ADP markets – by persona, by segment, by geo
- Identify key competitor strategies and ensure that ADP has a compelling and differentiated position in each market.
- Create marketing plan aligned to ESI central strategy as well as to local country needs.
- Drive integrated marketing campaign that delivers growth – leveraging ESI and Global tools and resources or creating something from scratch when it’s truly needed.
- Partner with Sales, Enablement and Country Management to create a shared sense of ownership, a joint calendar of activity and metrics by which we measure success.
- Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional, and local programs
- Partner with regional product marketing to develop tools, programs in a box, training and content to successfully highlight local products in the marketing mix
- Manage the Budget allocated for Growth Initiatives and drive the best allocation for digital budget.
- Forecast, measure, analyze, report on impact and ROI of programs
- Evaluate, select, and manage local vendors that contribute to local demand creation programs.
- Develop and implement (with sales) target account strategies to support account-based selling
- Marketing content: localize global marketing assets by adding appropriate country flavour, develop case study for reference clients, sales collaterals, selling tools.
- Knowledge of the APAC HCM market
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing practices
- Strong strategic thinking and executional skills, and the ability to generate credibility with and respect from participants at all levels
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders inside and outside of the company (e.g. vendor and agency negotiations & management)
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects on tight deadlines timeframes and driving meaningful results (top-line and/or bottom-line) for the company
- International APAC business experience is mandatory and exposure to working in large, global organization is a definite plus
- Result oriented, proactive and spirit of initiative
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Fluent English written and spoken capability
- 8-10 years B2B marketing experience, in at least one of the markets, with a proven track record of sizeable new business wins. HR Software experience highly desirable but not essential
- Management experience of multiple related teams, budget management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, journalism or communications
- Excellent analytical, communication skills in matrix organization
- Presentation skills/strong organization skills and result oriented
- Agile / adaptable approach to manage changing market conditions
