What you will do:
As Senior Project Manager, you will supervises the execution of the most basic projects. Serves as primary on-site project leader, following standardized project management procedures. Uses standard tracking tools to report project progress. Evaluates project costs and progress against budget and plan.
How you will do it:
- Strong fundamental knowledge of HVAC system and equipment.
- Meeting with clients and establishing their requirements
- Producing, reviewing and implementing appropriate documentation including: pre-construction information, schedules of work, specifications, schematics and drawings for tender for each project
- Manage a portfolio of approved Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors through the lifecycle of a project
- Project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal and budgeting
- Communicating with clients and colleagues, engaging with specialist consultants as required
- Ensuring that programmes are agreed between the client and the contractor prior to each project commencing, updated as required and that key deadlines are met
- Ensure M&E services are installed correctly and to the correct specification
- Monitoring working practices, managing contractors and reporting lack of compliance to your line manager
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Fire, ACOP's and company policies
- Ensuring receipt of relevant certification, correspondence, documents, drawings, and financial records
- Provide technical support where required to other internal departments
- Project analysis and clear progress reporting to management as required
- Read and understand the limits to the required scope of work (when is a change order is required)
- Understand how to find the notice requirements for constructive changes, delays or project acceleration
- Determine the pricing for the job
- Know and understand the closeout requirements, the term of the contract or period for performance, how the “Contract Amendment/Change Order Process” is addressed in the contract
- Conduct the pre-job meeting
- Invite all project team members to the pre-job meeting.
- Reporting Controls and Safety
- Prepare the pre-job meeting agenda
- Review minutes and distribute to attendees
What we look for:
- Minimum B.Sc/B.Eng Electrical/Power/Mechanical or related field
- 10-12 years working experience/knowledge of HVAC Retrofit, design and cost management as an HVAC Project Manager or similar position in Commercial, Institutional and Industrial Environment
- Profound knowledge of Chiller Plant Optimization.
- Strong Leadership & Team Player
- Proficient in AUTOCAD, REVIT, Microsoft software (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint)
- Experience managing large commercial, institutional and Industrial Projects $20 million and above preferred
- Estimating experience and knowledge of site surveying, project sequencing, methods and materials practices and electrical systems
- Can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience that is equivale.
