
Account Executive
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive with a strong background in the construction industry to manage daily accounting functions, ensure accurate financial records, and support project accounting needs. The ideal candidate will be familiar with local financial regulations and have prior experience handling project-based accounts in a construction setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and project cost reports
- Monitor project budgets, cost control, and work closely with project teams on financial tracking
- Verify and process supplier invoices, claims, subcontractor payments, and progress claims
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Support annual audit and tax filing processes (IRAS, GST, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and company policies
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government agencies when necessary
- Assist in payroll processing and CPF submissions (if required)
- Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned
Requirements :
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP)
- Knowledge of project accounting and cost control
- Familiarity with Singapore tax laws and GST regulations
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of construction contracts and progress billing
- Familiarity with MOM and BCA reporting (advantageous)
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
