Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to lead and implement complex infrastructure projectswithin the banking and financial services sector. This role requires strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and technical coordination to ensure seamless project execution within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure projects in alignment with the bank’s project governance framework.
- Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs, and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
- Work closely with the technical solution team to develop comprehensive project proposals, define scope, and align roles and responsibilities across all project resources.
- Manage third-party vendors and internal teams to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and maintain clear communication internally (with business and IT) and externally (with vendors and partners).
- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements and IT governance, including security and risk management protocols.
- Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and project governance boards.
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and change control processes.
- Apply project management best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Project Manager, with a strong focus on IT Infrastructure.
- Proven vendor management experience and ability to oversee multiple partners and teams.
- Demonstrated capability in managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Proactive mindset with a high level of initiative and ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and project boards.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- Background in banking domain with hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure projects (e.g., server/network upgrades, cloud migration, endpoint management).
- Familiarity with Agile Project Management methodologies.
- Working knowledge of IT security, risk management, and security controls.
- ITIL certification is a plus.
- Understanding of APAC IT regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS TRM, HKMA, etc.) is highly advantageous.
