Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient
- Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions to patients, focusing on improving their communication, feeding, and swallowing skills
- Prepares care giver training.
- Supervises subordinates during client treatment to ensure established levels of safety and professionalism are met.
- Work out client treatment roster and schedule for therapy treatment.
- Documenting patient progress, maintaining detailed records, and reporting on treatment outcomes, as well as to ensure billing and charging procedures for treatments given are being done properly.
- Manages and summits daily and monthly statistics on time and monitors inventory management.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest speech therapy practices and techniques
Requirement:
- A degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech Therapist in a healthcare setting
- Registered as an Allied Health Professional with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with our residents, NOK, and the healthcare team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech therapy
