As a Fab Engineer at Micron, you will be working with a team of other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Hands-on data visualization and chart generation (eg. JMP)
- Data Processing tools such as Perl, Python (similar programming/scripting languages)
- HTML development for data display interface
- Electrical Failure Analysis diagnostic skills
- Accountable for Fab Reliability performance, define wafer level Reliability sampling plan, execute OCAP procedures and Bench EFA validation. Work with fab to meet extrinsic and intrinsic targets through process improvement.
- Development of new Wafer Level Reliability (WLR) capability as a proxy for equivalent backend Unit Level Reliability (ULR) test. Make enhancements to existing capabilities to improve correlation and accuracy.
- Part of the Fab quality team contributing as SME in reliability fail modes and its associated detection, drives and engages in quality projects for overall Excursion mitigation.
- Act on and provide Corrective and Preventive Actions for CQE and FEMQA teams with regards to customer feedbacks on quality and product issues.
- Deliverable: To enhance, characterize and test defectivity performance of next generation NAND flash product. Drive with Fab/external counterparts for timely Qualification and Time to Market.
- Impact: You will innovate to solve challenges for next generation storage applications used to power the brain of AI and frontier technologies

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical & Electronics, Materials Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent.
• Problem-solving mindset with a drive for finding effective solutions.
• Passion and curiosity about semiconductor frontend fabrication and memory industry.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
• Strong personal initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Able to work on 5 days off-shift

• Display Micron Value of People. Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration and Customer Focus

Maximizes yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and performs root cause analysis. Works with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Long-term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas. Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conducts research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommends process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.
