Job Overview

An Arborist executes tree care management programmes for trees and palms. He/She conducts tree inspection and risk assessment and prescribes remedies for tree health problems. He/She assist in the preparation of tree assessment reports to management for decision-making. The Arborist enjoys the great outdoors, being in nature and is passionate about tree protection and conservation. He/She must be willing to work beyond official hours to respond to tree emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of a comprehensive Tree Assessment Report.
  • Attend to urgent and emergency tree matters after working hours.
  • Conduct tree inspection and prescribe remedies for tree health problems.
  • Able to carry out secondary inspection and the knowledge of tools such as resistographer, PICUS and generating reports and the recommendations
  • Implement tree pruning and maintenance programme with term contractors and supervisors.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on arboriculture matters.
  • Supervise staff to ensure correct tree pruning and cutting methods are being applied.

Qualifications:

  • English speaking Certified Arborist
  • ISA Certified arborist with 5 years of related field work
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent.
  • As and when necessary, to be able to work on weekends and Public holidays.
