Test Engineer

Responsibilities include:

• Become an expert in product behavior through analysis and deep product teardown, working closely with cross-functional partners to uncover safety-related patterns in real-world usage.
• Oversee a compact team of specialists handling diagnostics, investigations, and lab support activities.
• Parse raw performance data, spot irregularities, and collaborate with design and engineering to resolve underlying issues. Synthesize conclusions into executive-ready summaries.
• Conduct root-cause analyses using a scientific lens, including in-depth physical evaluations and failure investigations.
• Maintain and streamline logistics related to product intake and return, ensuring smooth and traceable operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in how data is gathered, stored, and reported.
• Knowledge of shipping protocols—especially for high-risk items like lithium-ion batteries—is considered a strong plus.

Requirements:

• Extensive background in assessing how consumer tech products perform in real-world scenarios, including direct experience in product safety, testing, standards, or failure analysis.
• Deep familiarity with disassembling and understanding mobile devices
• Strong grounding in electronics and failure diagnostics, including trend tracking and component-level assessments.
• Understanding of global and regional safety regulations relevant to electronic gadgets and how those standards inform testing protocols.
• Hands-on experience or solid knowledge of battery systems—from development to failure analysis—is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with diagnostic and investigative tools (like CT scans, X-ray, SEM/EDX, and material analysis) is a significant plus.
• Proven track record in managing lab environments, including guiding technical staff and ensuring process efficiency.
• Self-motivated individual who can operate independently but thrives in collaborative spaces. Problem-solving instincts and action-oriented mindset are key.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment such as multimeters, thermal sensors, and high-speed imaging devices.
• Detail-obsessed, organized, and experienced in refining operational processes.
• Experience in setting up technical labs from scratch is a definite asset.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred
