The Golf Support Manager supports the Head of Golf in ensuring the smooth running of daily golf operations, including golf registration, golf housekeeping, the hybrid pro-shop, and other related areas. This role involves supervising frontline staff, ensuring operational readiness, to provide seamless registration and accurate billing for golfers while upholding high service standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service at all touchpoints, including golf registration. Ensure accuracy in billing, payment collection, and handling of reversals or charge waivers
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping section and cleaning vendor to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of golf facilities, including the changing rooms, bag drop area, buggy bay, buggy park, and driving range
- Manage and schedule all frontline staff in golf registration and housekeeping to always ensure sufficient coverage
- Train new staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), service standards, and system usage to uphold service quality
- Ensure smooth operation of all golf-related systems including iGolf, CiMSO, Visage, and telephony systems
- Monitor hybrid proshop sales transactions, manage complimentary usage for committee members and sponsors, and ensure timely reporting and inventory control
- Collate and submit monthly operational reports, including sales, usage statistics, and service feedback
- Assist in documenting and reviewing SOPs, checklists, and operational workflows for process improvements
- Oversee the monthly golf handicap updates and revisions
- Support the management of the OCC Junior Golf Program, including communication of registration dates, event closures, and results publication
- Ensure timely announcements and coordination for all Club tournaments and events
- Align with the Club’s operational standards and service excellence goals
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Entry Requirements
- Diploma/Degree holders in Golf Management or equivalent
- At least 5 years of working experience in any golf club related administering activities
- Knowledge of golf and golf housekeeping would be an added advantage
