
Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure & Security (Central/$6.5k) - MONT
Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure & Security to support the Infrastructure and Security Manager in overseeing the organization’s on-premise and cloud IT environment. This includes servers, desktops, business applications, Office 365, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure Cloud Services, and the daily IT operations.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage infrastructure performance, ensure system stability, and support evolving business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure & System Administration
- Oversee the performance and optimization of servers and applications to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance, system monitoring, and timely troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Design and implement solutions to resolve network and application errors.
2. Technical Support & Monitoring
- Provide day-to-day support for production environments and ensure quick resolution of technical problems.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IT infrastructure, participating in incident response, change management, and project implementation.
3. Cloud & Network Management
- Manage cloud platforms including Office 365 and Azure Cloud Services.
- Maintain and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, and internet services.
4. Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Apply best practices for cybersecurity and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks such as ISO 27000.
- Ensure all system documentation is updated and aligned with internal policies.
5. Vendor & Procurement Management
- Evaluate IT proposals and quotations to ensure alignment with technical and budgetary requirements.
- Source hardware/software, manage vendor relationships, and track maintenance agreements.
6. User Support & Training
- Provide technical guidance and support to users across the organization.
- Deliver user training and ensure systems are effectively utilized.
7. IT Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Assess IT systems to ensure cost-efficiency and compatibility with organizational goals.
- Recommend improvements to current practices and manage capacity planning for IT assets.
8. Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain accurate records, including documentation for internal quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with standards for document storage, identification, and disposal.
9. Team Collaboration & Business Continuity
- Support internal knowledge-sharing and cover duties of team members during their absence to ensure operational continuity.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support IT operations.
