  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

With a strong emphasis on harnessing emerging technologies, the team delivers AI and digital solutions that support critical operations across the public sector while also engaging private sector partners to co-develop scalable innovations.This leadership role offers the opportunity to influence the direction of AI software development and provide deep technical guidance across complex, mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategic development and engineering roadmap for AI platforms and solutions, leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Oversee the design, development, integration, and deployment of AI software products across a variety of domains such as computer vision, language processing, embodied AI, and multi-modal systems.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on AI engineering, providing consultancy and technical direction across internal teams and external agency partners.
  • Evaluate and optimise modelling approaches to balance accuracy, performance, and scalability, supporting deployment across multi-site or mission-critical environments.
  • Guide engineering practices across the software lifecycle including DevOps, MLOps, quality assurance, and integration testing, ensuring consistency with industry best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities in AI capabilities and co-develop technology roadmaps aligned with operational needs.
  • Mentor and lead high-performing technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Engage with multi-agency project teams to co-develop solutions and ensure seamless delivery and interoperability.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI technologies and guide the evaluation and adoption of emerging frameworks and architectures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in product or platform development, including a minimum of 8 years working directly in AI-related projects and 5 years leading large-scale AI deployments across multiple sites.
  • Strong expertise in full-stack software engineering and cloud-native development, with hands-on experience in AWS or Azure environments.
  • Deep knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or Caffe, and experience programming in Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Proven leadership in delivering complex, cross-functional software projects involving diverse teams and multi-agency stakeholders.
  • Understanding of scalable architectures for AI/ML platforms, data science workflows, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in developing digital products related to security, such as surveillance systems, physical security solutions, cybersecurity platforms, or other mission-critical applications, is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working on products deployed in public sector or national-level environments is a plus.
