Product Operations Data Specialist

Product Operations empowers data-driven decision-making and seamless collaboration across product and function teams to accelerate product scaling. We are passionate to:

  • Execute end-to-end data workflows: From SQL-based extraction to actionable insights.
  • Bridge global standards with Global Market Pilot Product’s agility: Enable rapid product iteration through lightweight, market-specific data solutions.

Responsibility

Execute Quantitative Data Management

  • Extract and clean raw data via SQL queries from existing databases.
  • Build standardized spreadsheets and interactive dashboards (e.g., Superset) for validating Product manager’s hypothesis in product concept stage.

Support Non-quantitative Data Collection:

  • Deliver competitive analysis through manual research.
  • Develop lightweight methodologies for small-sample data gathering.

Deliver Hypothesis Validation & Insights

  • Validate product hypotheses from PM through data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.

Support cross-team collaboration:

  • Document data processes and align on data integrity checks with cross-function teams, like engineers, data scientists, design and supply teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, or product support roles.
  • Technical proficiency:
  • SQL proficiency (complex queries, joins, aggregation).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Superset preferred).
  • Spreadsheet automation (e.g. Google Sheets/Excel).
  • Operational Mindset:
  • Proactively seek for the best approach to get the right data helping validate the hypothesis in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies.
  • Collaboration:
  • Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving priorities.

Preferred but not Required

  • Chinese-speaking preferred
  • Basic Python/R for data cleaning.
  • Product operations/analytics background.
  • Competitor/market research skills.
  • Knowledge of the Global travel market dynamics.
