The Talent
- Prior experience with Global Mobility
- Prior experience in an in-house mobility function is a strong advantage
- Good knowledge of expatriate compensation issues including calculation and explanation of standard assignment allowances /deductions, tax equalization, hypothetical tax and split-payroll mechanisms
- Knowledge of expatriate tax issues including social security taxes, totalization agreements and tax planning for short term assignments
- Knowledge of Asia Pacific (specifically Australia and New Zealand) immigration preferred to cater to APAC market
- Ability to work independently
- Good quantitative and analytical skills is a strong advantage
- Ability to service demanding clientele in a fast-paced environment and on a global scale
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills – strong customer service skills a must
- Experience working with external service providers to deliver projects and services
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Cross cultural sensitivity required
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-national, global team environment
- Knowledge of WorkDay and Equus’ AssignmentPro a plus
The Job
- Provide expertise on Global Mobility programs, policies and practices to Global Mobility stakeholders, including HR, COEs, Business Leaders and employees
- Provide technical advice and guidance to HR and the business on all aspects of the assignment including compensation, tax, and immigration issues
- Manage full international assignment life cycle for assignees
- Conduct comprehensive pre-assignment counselling including explanation of assignment compensation, relocation process, policy information, immigration, tax and health and retirement benefits
- Primary contact for relocation vendor’s in delivering all aspects of the logistical relocation (shipping, destination services, cultural training) including interpretation of policies
- Partner with the Regional Global Mobility Senior Manager on global team initiatives, global projects, development of processes, procedures and job tools; work to ensure consistency with global processes and procedures. D
- Act as backup to the Regional Global Mobility Senior Manager with the internal counselling team
- Prepare cost projections and letter of assignment within the SLA timeframe
