Description of the Opportunity:
- Communicate with product managers, project managers, and business analysts effectively to understand and analyze business requirements.
- Contribute to initial product implementation, continuous function/feature enhancement, and additional integration with upstream/downstream systems by providing installing, configuring, designing, coding, testing, optimization, and troubleshooting service at both the application and database level.
- Build prototype, demoware, and provide technical support during pre-sales activities to prospects.
- Work with the clients’ IT teams, project team members, and/or support staff to resolve implementation and production issues efficiently and effectively.
- Work as a highly cohesive and functional team with subject matter experts, architects, and other developers to create new functions/features and/or enhancements to existing ones.
- After thoroughly understanding and analyzing requirements, write clean, reliable, and highly scalable code using mostly React.js and C#.
- Analyze, review, revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization at both the application and database level.
- Prepare documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Any other ad hoc duties as adviced by the supervisors.
Qualifications for Consideration:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering or other related fields
- Strong in SQL Server or other relational databases
- Solid background in C# or other similar object-oriented programming languages
- Familiar with common software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc)
- Traveling may be required occasionally
- Background in React.js or other similar front-end JavaScript frameworks will be an added advantage
- Some commodity/energy trading industry knowledge will be an added advantage
