Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including working capital finance, term loans, cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance and foreign exchange. The Industrials team specifically covers corporates engaged in chemical sector but not limited to capital goods and materials industry.

Responsibilities

As part of the IBG Large Corporates Industrials team, the candidate will function both as a Direct Coverage RM and an Industry RM.

As a Direct Coverage RM, Be Responsible For

  • Developing business relationships with new and existing clients;
  • Day-to-day account servicing and regular credit and compliance reviews;
  • Contributing towards deal origination and/or increasing product penetration across all product groups available for the Bank’s mid and large corporate clients;
  • Preparing credit applications (which includes building financial models / reviewing cashflow projections and advising / structuring financing terms and conditions to meet specific client needs) and overseeing loan & security documentation and negotiations with good degree of competence for non-complex credits;
  • Formulating, completing and executing on account plans for identified clients in the assigned portfolio to increase share of wallet; and
  • Delivering on agreed revenue targets for the assigned portfolio

As An Industry RM, Be Responsible For

  • Researching and analysing various Industrials sub-segments with a focus to identify common themes across various industry sub-segments and across geographies;
  • Working with product partners in industry-led product development initiatives;
  • Developing business relationship with new and existing key clients alongside with the Global RMs to deepen our connectivity with these regional / global clients; and supporting adhoc projects (eg. portfolio reviews and stress tests)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in corporate & investment banking (experience in managing large corporates esp.chemical sector preferred)
  • Strong credit and financial analytical skills, experience in industry research
  • Good working knowledge of treasury, capital markets and transaction banking products, including cash management and trade finance solutions
  • Strong skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams in origination and execution
  • Results-oriented and strong business connections in identifying and developing business opportunities
  • Team player possessing excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a drive to meet business targets
