Job Responsibilities:
1) Patient Assessment and Care:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients.

2) Specialized Procedures:
- Perform complex clinical procedures relevant to the specialized unit's area of focus.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
3) Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
- Provide detailed guidance on medication management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
4) Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain open and effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
5) Documentation:
- Maintain meticulous and comprehensive medical records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal documentation standards.
6) Quality Improvement:
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of best practices.
7) Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies within the specialized unit.
- Follow established protocols and procedures during crisis situations.
8) Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest developments in nursing and the specialized area through continuous education and training.
- Pursue relevant certifications as applicable.
Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience.
- Registered under Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and any additional specialty certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Fine motor skills for tasks such as administering medications and conducting assessments.
- Visual and auditory acuity for patient monitoring and procedural support.
- Standard working hours with occasional flexibility based on unit needs.
