Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Murex Functional Consultant to join our team and work closely with business users, IT teams, and project stakeholders to support and enhance the Murex platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management, with hands-on experience in the Murex application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Murex-related enhancements and projects.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for the Murex platform.
  • Perform functional configuration within Murex modules such as FO (Front Office), BO (Back Office), Risk, and Reporting.
  • Support Murex implementation, upgrades, and migration projects.
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure delivery of accurate and high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct functional testing and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Work with the Murex support team to troubleshoot and resolve functional issues.
  • Provide training and documentation for end users and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk policies in all functional setups.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Murex Functional Consultant.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products (FX, IRD, Equities, Commodities, etc.).
  • Experience with Murex modules: Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Simulation, MxML Exchange, and Workflow.
  • Good understanding of trade lifecycle and financial markets operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid SDLC environments.
  • Proficient in functional testing and validation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Murex 3.x
  • Knowledge of SQL, UNIX scripting, and basic technical debugging
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting (e.g., EMIR, MiFID)
  • Experience working in a global banking or capital markets environment
