Job Purpose :

To oversee contract vetting, negotiation, and risk management, ensuring compliance with technical, legal, and commercial requirements. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Projects, Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to align contracts with business objectives while mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Vetting & Risk Management

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for projects

• Identify and mitigate commercial, legal, and technical risks in contract clauses (e.g., penalties, warranties, delivery terms).

2. Cross-Departmental Coordination

• Act as the primary liaison for Sales team with Engineering, Procurement, Projects and Production teams to align contract terms with project feasibility, timeline and cost targets.

• Advise the Sales team on commercial risks during tender submissions and client negotiations.

• Collaborate internally to validate BOQs, cost estimates, and variation orders.

3. Quantity Surveying (QS) Support

• Assist in cost control, claims management, and change orders for projects.

• Analyze subcontractor/vendor quotations for commercial compliance.

4. Sales & Client Engagement

• Support the Sales team in pre-contract discussions, clarifying contractual requirements.

• Develop standardized contract templates to streamline approvals and reduce turnaround time.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must-Have - Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

5+ years in contract vetting/management

Strong knowledge Contractual matters .

Proven ability to work with Sales, Procurement, and QS teams.

Advantageous:

Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CISCP, or PMP).

Experience in tender management or pre-sales support.

Familiarity with FIDIC/NEC contracts.

Cross Departmental coordination experience Skills & Competencies: Technical: Contract law and cost control.

Soft Skills: Negotiation, stakeholder management, attention to detail.

Tools: MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), QS software (e.g., CostX).
