The ICA Engineer will provide a technical lead to the ICA design of water and wastewater schemes, located in Singapore.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Preparation/supervision of preparation of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, and cable/instrument/"I/O" schedules
- Production of documentation, including user requirement specifications, control philosophies, tender documentation (including particular electrical and ICA specifications), schedules of prices and engineer's estimates
- Attendance of factory and site acceptance tests
- Co-ordinating electrical resources and assisting in the development of the electrical team
Team Management and Development Responsibility
- Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members (direct & indirect)
- Establish clear communication, solid lines of control and delegation to sub-ordinates and actively create and maintain a culture of openness, responsiveness, honest, ethics and responsibility across the team
- Manage the selection and training of all team members, building a high skilled, performance focused, innovative, passionate team
- Establish appropriate and effective KPI’s for all direct team members that allow performance to be clearly measured.
- Conduct Performance Development sessions with all direct reports in line with Company policy including consequence management where required and developmental requirements aligned with succession plans.
- Coach and mentor all direct reports on all aspects of their role, facilitating effective co-operation and trust, encouraging the free exchange for information, ideas and techniques between the various operations teams, leading and motivating them to be aligned to the same team goals and business objectives
- Address performance and behavior in a timely manner, taking disciplinary action where required within guidelines of Leighton's policies and procedures
- Ensure contractors / suppliers are sourced, assessed, employed, managed and supervised in accordance with Leighton’s HSSE and procurement requirements
- Ensure communication and consultation, with internal and external parties, of appropriate HSSE information
- Review and provide recommendation of business systems requirements to relevant line of business
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Preferably Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Relevant experience in the water, wastewater or related process industries (preferably including working for an engineering consultancy)
- Experienced in design at a "for construction" detail level
- Excellent technical knowledge of your field, able to advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts electrical engineering issues
- Able to demonstrate a broad experience in instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, cable/instrument/"I/O" schedules, motor control centres/control panels, electrical installation, SCADA and telemetry systems
- Demonstrate continuing professional development and knowledge of current and emerging technical solutions.
